2 Corinthians 3:18 - And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
-we should be looking more and more like Christ everyday.
SIN separates us from God, but God sacrificed Jesus to reunite us in a relationship with him. We are to reflect the glory of Jesus Christ to bring others in the world to him as well.
Revelation 4:6-8 - Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come."
**The Eagle - leadership and excellence
we should be captivating, soaring through life, leading movements, drawing anyone who we come in contact with to the God of the universe so their life can be touched and changed.
Best place to learn how to be an effective leader is the Bible. Many leadership principles instated in large corporations are biblically based., whether they recognize it or not.
1 Peter 5:1-4 - And now, a word to you who are elders in the churches. I, too, am an elder and a witness to the sufferings of Christ. And I, too, will share in his glory when he is revealed to the whole world. As a fellow elder, I appeal to you: Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example. And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.
EVERYONE is a leader in some way.
1. Great Leaders are Great Stewards of what God has entrusted them with.
"Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you."
In order to so this you have to recognize who gave you the things you have
Luke 19:26 - "He replied, 'I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away."
-If we are good stewards of what God has given us, we will be given more, but if we don't steward what we have even it will be taken from us.
2. Great Leaders are About a Great Vision not their own personal agenda.
"Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God."
If we are going to do great things in the world for the Kingdom of Christ we have to do things for the good of the people and not just what works for us. It's not about us, it's about Jesus and connecting people to him.
-We need to serve willingly, but is is impossible to do that if we don't recognize that God is serving us.
3. Great Leaders Model with Great Passion, not by being forceful and overbearing.
"Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example."
People rebel against arrogant leaders that operate on their own agenda. Don't lead because of your position and power, lead because of your passion for Christ and seeing people reach their full God-given potential.
-Leadership is not about doing and fixing everything, it is about leading and encouraging people to reach their full potential.
-Some see the economy as something to fear and lose their passion, but the state of the economy right now is an OPPORTUNITY to lead people to Christ. We have the opportunity to step out and offer people the hope of Jesus Christ.
When we are good stewards with vision and passion God will reward us.
"And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor."
We only have a small time to make an impact on this world, life is over in the blink of an eye. What mark do you want to make on the world? When you meet the God of the Universe what will he say? If we step outside of ourselves and surrender to Christ we can lead others to God, we can start a movement, a revolution and when we meet our Lord he will look at us and say, "Well done good and faithful servant."
Join us and start a Revolution
